Čarapa keksi / Easy Xmas socks cookies


Napravila sam tijesto po ovom receptu (klikni ovdje)
Najprije sam iscrtala crveni rub i odmah ga ispunila crvenom glazurom. Ostavila sam dobra 2 sata dok se glazura nije skroz osušila. To možete provjeriti tako da keks okrenete prema svijetlu, odmah ćete vidjeti da li je glazura još vlažna. Bitno je pričekati da se skroz posuši jer će vam se kristalni šećer lijepiti i po crvenom. 

Kad je crvena glazura dobro suha, iscartamo i ispunimo bijelu, koju još svježu posipamo kristalnim šećerom.  

Možete i pisati po njima, samo u crvenu glazuru s kojom ste ih radili dodate još šećera u prahu kako bi bila gusta poput paste za zube, to je prava gustoća za pisanje.

Ja sam ih napravila kao dodatak u svojim Božićnim kutijama, ali o tome ću pisati u drugom postu...

Velika božićna zvijezda




Smjesu sam napravila po tom receptu. Glazuru po ovom. Trebat će vam samo žuta i crvena boja, obe u rjeđoj i gušćoj varijanti. 

Kako je kod nas teško doći do odgovarajućih izrezivača keksa, ja sam za svoju verziju Božićne zvijezde koristila brkove i djetelinu s 4 lista. Napravila sam 22 latice i jednu djetelinu za sredinu.
S tom količinom tijesta stigne se napraviti 4-5 takvih zvijezda, ovisno o debljini na koju razvaljate tijesto.

Jednom pečene, složila sam ih na desertni tanjurić.
Najprije sam iscrtala i ispunila žutu sredinu kako bi se do kraja posušila i zadnje, nakon svih latica, sam na njoj iscrtala točkice gušćom glazurom.

Iscrtala sam vanjski rub i odmah ispunila latice s tekućom glazurom. Nakon 30-ak minuta, kad vidite da se napravila korica na njima, gušćom glazurom sam napravila crtu. Ostavite ih preko noći da se skroz posuše.



Zatim ih složite na tanjur, vaša je Božićna zvijezda spremna!

Grandma's gingerbread recipe / Medenjaci iz nonine kuharice

Ingredients
120 gr honey
30 gr butter
50 gr sugar powder
1 egg
270gr all-purpose flour
cinemon, ginger
40gr ground almonds (nut or hazelnut)
1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
1/2 teaspoon baking soda


On a low flame melt the butter and honey. 








When cool, add to the mixture of butter and honey the powdered sugar and the egg. Mix well into a smooth mixture. 








Mix together all the dry ingredients.












Make a hole in the middle and add the liquid mixture. 












Made a dought. 








Let chill in the fridge for 2 hours.








For baking use the parchment paper. Prehat the oven on 180°C. Bake them to a nice golden-brown color, 15-20 minutes dipend of the shape you used.

ELF HOUSE COOKIES 3D with snowman

The cookie cutters I used is....



 When the cookies is baked and cooled, the decoration could start. You will need white, red and green icing in piping,decorating and flooding consistency. Orange and yellow in piping consistency.

THE HOUSE
Start with the red roof, outline and flood. Then outline the house in white and flood. Leave to dry overnight. After dried outline the white on the roof and put on white sugar for the snow effect. Made the door. You could decorated in two brown colors. Made the green details. Let dry for 3 hours. Then draw the bleck handle to the door and the yellow points in the green. At the end draw the snowflake on the top of the roof. 

THE SNOWMAN
Outline with white and let dry overnight. When dried, with white icing made the hat and put on black sugar. Made the red scarf, eyes, nose and black buttons. Let dry.

THE CHRISTMASS TREE
Piping consistency will be like toothpaste. For the small xmass tree you could find the template on this link. Use a tip 16. Let dry overnight. Then draw the white snow and put on white sugar.
The same is with the big trees on cookies. Use a tip 22. LEt dry overnight and then draw the white snow with white sugar like snow.




Assembly instructions:
On the flower base with piping consisency made a line in the middle. Put the house on and put a toothspick and leave dry for two hours. I put a candy behind. Put some icing on the bigg tree and paste behind. Stick the small tree and the snowman in front with a candy like in photos down. Let dry, then flood all. Draw a line after 20 minutes.

I made also their design with some differences.....



















GINGERBREAD RECIPE / MEDENJAK

GINGERBREAD RECIPE

800 gr of all purpose flour
250 gr of butter
320 gr of brown sugar
2 whole egg 
1 cup of honey (300gr)
1 tsp of vanilla ore one vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 grated lemon
1/2 grated orange
1 tsp of dry ground ginger
1 tsp of ground cinnamon
a pinch of salt


In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, spices, baking powder and salt, set aside. With an electric mixer, beat butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in honey and egg. With mixer on low, add dry ingredients; mix just until a dough forms. Place dough on floured plastic wrap, pat into an 20x20cm square. Wrap well and leave to chill in fridge from 1 to 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 175 degrees. 

Divide dough in half. I work with one half at a time (rewrap and refrigerate other half), place dough on floured parchment paper, it's easier, roll out 5mm thick. Cut out shapes, and transfer to baking sheets. 

Bake them 10 to 18 minutes until the cookies start to be darker, depend of the shape. The decoration will be described in another post....

MEDENJAK

800 gr brašna
250 gr maslaca
320 gr smeđeg šećera
2 cijela jaja
1 šalica meda (300gr)
1 vanilijin šećer
1 pecilni prašak
1/2 naribane korice limuna
1/2 naribane korice naranče
1 žličica suhog mljevenog đumbira
1 žličica suhog mljevenog cimeta
prstohvat soli

U posudi izmješajte sve suhe sastojke zajedno: brašno, začine, pecilni i sol, stavite na stranu. Sa električnim mikserom ili u robotu tucite maslac, smeđi šećer i vanilijin šećer dok ne dobijete glatku smjesu. Dodajte med i jaja. Spustite brzinu miksera i dodajte suhe sastojke tako da se zamijesi tijesto. Pobrašnite tijesto i omotajte ga plastičnom folijom, rukama izgnječite u kocku približne veličine 20x20cm. Zamotajte dobro i pustite odmoriti u frižideru od 1 do 2 sata.

Zagrijte pećnicu na 175 stupnjeva. 

Podijeliti tijesto na pola. Ja radim s jednom polovicom dok mi je druga još u frižideru. Jednostavnije je ako tijesto razvaljate na pobrašnjenom pergament papiru, približno 5mm debelo. Izrežite oblike, i prenesite ih na lim za pečenje. 

Pecite dok rubovi keksa tek malo potamne, 10 do 18 minuta, ovisno o veličini. Ohladite ih u potpunosti na limu za pečenje. Slijedi ukrašavanje, ali o tome u drugom postu...

Plavi ukrasi / Blue ornaments


Plave kugle sam radila kao i u ovom postu. Zig-zag crta, pa polukrug ispunila bijelom glazurom, posipala šećerom, ostavila 20ak minuta pa ispunlia sa plavom. Odmah na mokrom nacrtala svijetlo plavu crtu i bijelu crtu. Čačkalicom sam ju izdužila i oblikovala. Na kraju sam nacrtala žuti detalj.



Kod lampica sam najprije obrubila i ispunila tamnijom plavom. Odmah na mokrom sam iscrtala svjetliji plavi detalj sa bijelim. Jedino kod navoja treba voditi računa da se ukrasi u razmaku od sat vremena. Najprije sam napravila tri crte kao na slici i kad su napravile koru, odnosno kad su se posušile, približno nakon sat vremena, napravila sam i ostale crte.






Božićne loptice / small christmass ornaments





Zamijesite tijesto koje vam se sviđa, izrežite i ispecite kekse.

Što se tiče samog ukrašavanja, najprije napravim zig-zag crtu a zatim polumjesec i ispunim glazurom. Odmah, još svježe, posipam kristalnim šećerom i pustim dvadesetak minuta da se posuši. Ostatak lopte ispunim šarenom glazurom. Na kraju nacrtam žuti detalj na vrhu.

easy Doc McStuffins cookies / Dotty cookies




Made the sugar dough you prefer. I made the recipe described in this link. I used the plaque frame and cut like in photo down.













Here is the steps of how I decorated the cookies. The icing must be dry from step to step.

SKULL MUFFIN COOKIES from ice cream cookie cutter

Made the dought you prefer and cut them like in this photo










Bake, cool..... and start decorating! You will need the thicker black icing for outlining the skull. I used the tip number 3, for a thick line.Let them dry for about one hour. 














Then with the thinner white icing flood inside and let them dry overnight.















Outline and flood the muffin pan. 
















Now you could made the black eyes and the nose. Immediatly pipe a small white dot on the eyes. 














For me the halloween colors are black, violet, orange and green. Let them dry again.















HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN from muffin cookie cutter

My cookie recipe with lard is:

800 gr of flour
240 gr of lard

320 gr of white sugar
4 yolk and 2 whole egg 
1 tsp of vanilla ore one vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
a pinch of salt
1/2 grated lemon
1 tsp quality rum



I put the flower on the work place, made a hole in the center where I put immediatelly all ingredients. Leave the lard on room temperature so will be tender, easier to made the dought with hands. I put it into the fridge for one hour. 

Then I made this "fake" pumpkins.... nice, what you think? I used two different muffin cookie cutter sizes and an oval cookie cutter for two different type of pumpkin.

I baked them 8-10 minutes on 180°C in the pre-heated oven. Cool them and then decorate with icing.

The recipe I used is:
4 albumens
4 tsp of lemon
800 gr of sugar powder


I used the method of outlining first. I use a piping bag with a tip 2 for my outlining. When the outlining is dry I flood the cookie with the same icing with a few drops of water. Flooding is then easier. I left the cookies overnight to dry.














After the night,I flooded the remains parts. After about 3 hours I drew the green details. To arrange the consistency of my green icing, I added more powder sugar.














I try to made the design with 3 (photos up) and 5 parts (photos down) on the pumpkin. I prefered with 3.

I made the same like up, but I drew 5 parts, so I flooded like in photo, first the inside two...
 then the center and outside....




On some cookies I also made some spooky details! Uuuuuuu!!!







CUTE HALLOWEEN PUMPKINS / CUTE BAT COOKIES





I prepared the orange icing for flooding, then thicker in orange, white, violet and black for lines and eyes details and more thicker in green.



First I outlined the cookies with the thick orange icing and let them dry for about one hour. More thick is the icing, quickier will dry. I used the wilton tip number 2. Then I flooded the cookie inside with orange icing and let them dry overnight.

 For the eyes I used the wet on wet technique, I put the white icing and immediatly the violet and bleck detail. With a toothspick I take some white icing for the white dot in the eyes. Then I draw the nose and the mouth. At the end I put the green detail on the top.





I'm inspired with the violet eyes, so I made also a cute halloween bat. I made a photo of every step. The most important think is that the icing must be dry from step to step.
